WHO IS GARY
Never been a one-thing person.
I grew up outside Madison, Wisconsin, the oldest of three, wanting every elective at once. At fourteen I fell for acting; the first big part was Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid. At Wisconsin I studied economics and history, took drama, dance and voice on the side, and helped build the business-intelligence program at the student union. The two lanes were there from the start.
They still are. I've mentored Chicago students for a decade, I speak French well enough to be wrong in it, and I've worn a white tuxedo at the Venice Film Festival, which I recommend. I spend plenty of time in my own head. The play side is how I get out of it.
